Compare what each plan unlocks

Aviator is for personal pilots. Instructor adds the Students section, scheduling, and endorsement e-signatures for CFIs. Organization plans add the org dashboard and finance — the three org tiers (Lite / Standard / Elite) share every feature and differ only by seats and storage.

Common questions

Everything you'd normally email us before signing up.

Is there really a free forever tier?+

Yes. Discovery stays free with 5 flight logs, full METAR/TAF/NOTAM weather, currency tracking, and the endorsement viewer. Unlimited logging and the file vault are on paid plans — you only upgrade when you hit the log cap or need a feature.

What happens when I hit 5 flights on Discovery?+

You keep full read access to everything you've logged. New flights require an Aviator upgrade. No surprises, no data held hostage.

Can I cancel anytime?+

One click in your PayPal account (Settings → Automatic Payments). Your plan stays active through the end of the billing period, then drops to Discovery — logbook, endorsements, and files all stay with you.

How does the 14-day trial work?+

Start Aviator or Instructor and your card isn't charged until day 15. Cancel before then and you're back on Discovery with nothing billed.

Is annual billing cheaper?+

Yes — paying yearly saves ~17%, which works out to two months free on every paid plan (Aviator is $100/yr vs $120, Instructor $200/yr, and org plans scale the same way). You can switch between monthly and annual anytime; PayPal prorates the difference at your next renewal.

Does my CFI need their own subscription?+

Only if they want Instructor features (student roster + sign endorsements). If they just want to review your logs, your shared logbook link works on Discovery.

How is org billing structured?+

Org plans are billed to the school. Members inherit the org tier — on Org Standard, every CFI gets full Pro features; on Org Elite, every student does too. Seats scale with your active roster.

What payment methods do you accept?+

All major credit and debit cards, plus balance transfers, via PayPal. Bank transfer and invoice billing available on Org Elite for accounts paying annually.

Is AeroLog accepted as a digital logbook by the FAA?+

Yes — AeroLog meets 14 CFR 61.51(i). Export a PDF of any date range for your checkride or insurance audit; endorsements are captured with a digital signature block.
